Are you interested in learning about butterflies and contributing to an important regional butterfly survey? If so, we hope you’ll consider becoming a founding member of the Harris Center’s new SuperSanctuary Butterfly Club, hosted by wildlife biologist Mark Ellingwood and taking its fledgling flight this winter! Each month, through illustrated slideshows, group discussion, and the Kaufman Field Guide to Butterflies of North America, we’ll learn identifying features as well as basic life history information for a dozen or so local butterfly species, with the goal of preparing for an in-person community butterfly survey in June or July of 2022. No prior butterfly experience required.

This club meets on Wednesdays, January 12, February  9, March 9, and April 13, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. via Zoom, with an optional in-person field trip in May.

Materials Fee: $20. Financial assistance is available. For more information, please contact Susie Spikol.

Space is limited, and registration is required. Please register via this online form. To submit payment, contact Miles Stahmann at (603) 525-3394 or via email. For other questions, please contact Susie Spikol.

Co-sponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education and NH Fish and Game.
