Introduction to the Carvey CNC Milling Machine

The Carvey is a fully enclosed tabletop Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) Milling Machine that uses steel bits to carve, cut, and engrave materials. During this hands-on session, makers will gain experience using Easel design software to prepare an image to cut into a two-color HDPE plastic tile. You will learn how to set up the Carvey, insert bits, clamp materials and run the entire job.

Before attending this session, you must complete a Makerspace Introduction session, through Niche Academy or in person; and have a signed Maker Agreement and Release form on file.

An Adult co-learner must accompany makers 14 years old and under. When registering, please indicate the number and ages of people attending the class. Advanced registration is required. Questions? Call the Kingsbury Makerspace at 603-757-0621, or ask a librarian for assistance.
