Town of Swanzey issued the following announcement on August 30.
The clinic will be offering Pfizer (1st and 2nd doses) and Johnson & Johnson (one shot) vaccines. No appointments are needed. No booster or additional doses will be available.
All Swanzey residents who get vaccinated at this event will be eligible for a raffle to win $50 off either a rental at Whitcomb Hall or a Recreation Department program.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:
- COVID 19-vaccines are effective. They can keep you from getting and spreading the virus that causes COVID-19.
- COVID-19 vaccines also help keep you from getting seriously ill even if you do get COVID-19.
- Getting vaccinated yourself may also protect people around you, particularly people at increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19.
