Meet Elizabeth Walsh, LNA, a 2021 Bradshaw Scholarship Recipient—to the left of Tanis Ferreira, APRN, MSN.
Elizabeth began working at Cheshire Medical Center at age sixteen, as an intern in the quality improvement department. This sparked her interest in nursing and a year later she became an LNA, then a nurse extern in the Thompson unit. She worked here through high school and college at the University of New England, where she is now advancing her education to obtain her RN license.
Elizabeth has proven to be a fast learner who is willing to take on challenges—always looking to improve her skills and competence. Her team describes her as hard-working, dedicated, efficient, and an overall team player. Elizabeth’s goal is to continue working at Cheshire after she graduates in May 2022 and eventually become a nurse practitioner.
