Movement is essential for a healthy pregnancy and empowered birth. This class will prepare expectant parents for both.
In this class, participants in their third trimester will discuss and practice labor and delivery positions, so they can go into labor feeling empowered and confident. Topics will include movement in labor, positions to open the pelvic inlet and outlet to promote fetal descent, positions to reduce perineal trauma and positions as well as manual techniques to reduce pain. A partner or other labor support person should attend with the birthing parent.
Classes are currently being held online, using Zoom. Participants will be contacted with class information and a Zoom link before the class date. If you have any questions regarding this class, please email Janet Chamberlin at jchamberlin@cheshire-med.com.
