Join LGBTQ+ trip leaders Dee Denehy, Hunter Kirschner, and Richard Doherty for a moderately strenuous, 5-mile roundtrip hike to Pisgah Mountain and back. Our route will take us along an old woods road through several ecosystems before turning into a single-track trail that skirts old-growth forest.

Expect approximately 150 feet of elevation gain. Dress for the weather, bring lunch and plenty of water, and come prepared with spikes and/or snowshoes. At lunchtime, we’ll stop and heat some water on the camp stove for tea, coffee, or hot chocolate.

Meet at 10 a.m. at the Kilburn Road trailhead off Route 63 in Hinsdale. Back by 2 p.m. Space is limited, and registration is required. For general information about Harris Center field trips, see our Outings Information page. To borrow snowshoes or ice traction, contact Miles Stahmann by January 12. For other information about this outing, including questions about accessibility, contact Hunter or Dee.
