Join Kris Rossi, owner of Honeypie Apiary for an introduction to beekeeping! You’ll learn what’s going on inside a beehive, different castes of bees, what’s involved in beekeeping, environmental threats to bees and pollinators and what we can do to save the pollinators in our own neighborhoods.
About Kris Rossi
Kris has been a beekeeper for six years. She runs Honeypie Apiary in Keene, NH which produces honey and nuclear colonies for sale. Kris is a member of the Monadnock Beekeepers Association and teaches the practical part of the beginner beekeeping course that the club runs. Teaching has always been a great source of satisfaction for Kris, and she does private lessons and hive management consultations as part of her business. Education and action are key elements to successful beekeeping, and Kris is passionate about helping other beekeepers know how to manage their hives for success and about helping them feel comfortable taking the actions necessary to keep their hives healthy
