6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

This program discussion, facilitated by Allen Davis, an educator, and social justice advocate, will focus on the experiences of local Black residents, who have generously offered to share what it means to be Black in the U.S. and the Monadnock region today

Last year, Keene Public Library hosted “Talking About Race: Staying Curious, Moving Forward and Being Part of the Solution.” In the first session of “Talking About Race 2.0,” Aldrich, Guy, Holston, Rosa, and Doug Sutherland will talk about what they have learned from doing this program and what has changed and hasn’t changed in the movement for racial justice locally and nationally.

This is an in-person event held at the Keene Public Library.

The next week, on May 12, we invite participants back to discuss and develop future initiatives and actions related to local and national racial issues.

“Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.” — James Baldwin
