Town of Rindge issued the following announcement on April 7.

The Town of Rindge is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Part-Time Planning Department Secretary. The secretary typically works alone in the Planning Office; therefore, the ideal candidate must be self-motivated, be able to quickly identify the crux of a matter and research solutions, and have the ability to find the best practices to execute and excel in a fast paced environment. The secretary will perform various secretarial, administrative support, and clerical duties including receipt and dissemination of all correspondence including phone, mail and e-mail submissions; assist residents and developers with applications, research inquiries, transcribe and then condense minutes of assigned meetings, handle all departmental financial records including receipt of fees and other payments, and other duties as assigned by the Planning Director. The ideal candidate must be courteous, professional, helpful, motivated, and detail oriented. Exceptional written & verbal communication skills are essential, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office software. Familiarity in website maintenance and design is desired. Must be available to attend evening meetings. Applicants must have a High School Diploma or Associates Degree and 2 years of related work experience. Planning or other Land Use experience is preferred, but not required. Salary range is D.O.E. Part-time – approx. 25 hours/week.
