Town of Jaffrey issued the following announcement on July 23.
The Town of Jaffrey anticipates conducting emergency repairs to the culvert system under Letourneau Drive at Nutting Road on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. The repairs will result in a full closure of the road for the majority of the day. We expect to close the road no earlier than 8:00 am with the expectation of being reopened to at least one lane of vehicle traffic by 5:00 pm. Once the repairs are completed, the road weight limits will be removed.
We understand the disruption this work will cause to everyone’s daily schedule. We are working on off-site parking for those that wish to remove their vehicles from the neighborhood for later access. However, pedestrian traffic over the work area will be limited.
The planning process for the work on Tuesday will continue through the weekend. We will be discussing the final plan at Monday evening’s Select Board meeting at 6:00pm. The public is invited to attend in person or by Zoom. Space in the Town Office Conference Room is limited and space on Zoom is not. Those wishing to attend in person must observe social distancing and wear a mask if not vaccinated. Those not wishing to attend in person may join using Zoom: Zoom.us/join, meeting ID 869 7269 2795, passcode 045696.
We provide this notice today so you can plan appropriately for the disruption. If you have any questions, please join the Select Board meeting or call the Town Office at 532-7880.
Sincerely,
Jon Frederick
Jaffrey Town Manager
